ERNESTO DIAZ-INFANTE (Pax Recordings, PR90259): Diese selbstbewusst selbstbetitelte Scheibe zeigt den Westcoast-Tausendsassa, der sich als Johnny Depp-Lookalike präsentiert, im Alleingang an anderthalb Dutzend Klangerzeugern. Aufmerksamkeit erweckt in erster Linie sein leise murmelnder Sprechgesang, der jenseits von Gut und Böse allenfalls an Jaroslav Pokornys legendären Monk Ryokan erinnert, der sich an einem Regentag selbst bemitleidet (BA XV). In dreißig entweder ca. ein- oder ca. dreiminütigen Miniaturen singsangt sich Diaz-Infante durch das Nirvana des Alltags. Teilweise genügt ihm dabei ein simpler Umwelt-O-Ton als Geräuschkulisse. Daneben ertönt aber auch Obskures und Ominöses wie Chinese hand exercise balls, goatnails, singing bowls und zither rod. Wer offen für dergleichen Lebens-Kunst ist, kann eintauchen in eine meditative Zone gedämpfter Geräusche, die eine unaufdringliche Präsenz entfalten, in die sich die Flüsterstimme in Cage'ianischer Zurückgenommenheit nicht selbst zu bedauern, sondern selbst zu vergessen scheint.
